Bagdogra is the closest airport to reach Gangtok. It is around 124 km away from the main city. From the airport, private cabs or taxis are available to the main city.

New Jalpaiguri (NJP) is the nearest railway station that connects the major cities to Gangtok. Many tourists prefer to visit Gangtok via rail. The station is 117 km away from Gangtok.

The hill station is connected with Siliguri, Bagdogra, Darjeeling, and Kalimpong. Many buses and cars are also available if you want to come by road.
