It is a hidden Jewel of South India surrounded by valleys, hills, and abundant wildlife. Yercud gets its name from its lake and forests. In Tamil, “Yeri” means Lake and “Kaddu” means forests. Both of these words make Yercaud which means Lake Forest. The cuisine of the place is a combination of three states Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Andhra Pradesh.
